Purpose of Role: To implement the strategic and tactical objectives of Mars Drinks customers & distributors.  This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategies within designated business segments and customers to deliver growth while maximizing profitability. This individual must excel at strategic customer and distributor planning and tactical execution, in order to ensure the flawless execution of a plan that will increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop annual business plans for customers and distributors maximizing business opportunities, driving profitable growth, growing share and managing to company objectives
  • Utilize knowledge of your geography and key contacts to gain access to potential new customers presenting and gaining new distribution
  • Work with distributor managers understanding capabilities and needs of distributor partners, ensuring plans are aligned to overall business objectives.
  • Working with sales planning manager, to analyze trends, promotional activity and product assortment to develop selling stories to deliver maximum sales and profits.
  • Develop and present annual customer/distributor business reviews, providing “fact based” leadership and insights relative to customer and category performance.
  • Have the ability to work with distributors where needed to influence key decision makers within your geography.
  • Take a lead role as an advocate of complete customer satisfaction ensuring customer retention and long term growth.

Key Experiences
  • Ideal candidates live in the NYC area
  • 3+ Years experience in the selling of CPG products
  • 3+ Years of distributor experience in broker management
  • 2+ Years of experience in marketing, analytics and/or research
  • Consumer packaged goods experience
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products; Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Travel as needed (up to 50% of time)
