National Account Manager Grocery - Mars Petcare

£40,000 – £60,000 + excellent benefits package

Field-based with some presence in Waltham, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

 

                                                                              

At Mars, our National Account Managers deliver profitable sales and category growth. If you work as a NAM in FMCG will know this already. What you may not know is that at Mars Petcare we have a fantastic portfolio of brands, a healthy pipeline of new product development and all the tools you need to deliver against this ambition.

 

Of course you will need to be able to build strong, mutual relationships with the customer, have strengths in negotiation, influencing and the strategic agility to develop a long-term strategy. This is a given. At Mars our National Account Managers also need exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and align a cross functional team of talented individuals behind an inspiring purpose and clear strategy for the customer. Due to internal promotions we are currently recruiting for National Account Managers to manage key customers in our Grocery, Discounters and Pet Specialist channels. 

 

As you can see, these roles are integral to our internal succession pipeline to senior leader roles, we are therefore looking for people with the potential and desire to progress within our business.   • To be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • The skills to manage budgets and/or revenue optimisation to deliver ROI
  • Experience of deploying the fundamentals of category leadership to drive growth

This role is field based but there will be a requirement to be in our head office in Waltham on the Wolds one or two days a week.
