Due to business growth, we have an exciting and challenging opportunity within our customer service team based in Waltham. This role works closely with a number of contacts throughout the supply chain and sales functions. Our Customer Service roles are operational, providing front-line service to our trade customers with opportunities to work across our pet, food and confectionery businesses.


The purpose of our roles is to provide excellent service to our customers by maximising supply and ensuring the customer has an expert point of contact, who has knowledge specific to their account across a broad range of activities.   This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to progress through our business. We are looking to recruit for full time and part time positions. The part-time positions would be considered on a job-share basis.   


What you will do:

Order fulfilment (70%)

  • Accurate and efficient order fulfilment – helping to identify areas where the customer can be influenced to improve overall efficiencies
  • Identify and address issues impacting on service to the customer (availability and supply)
  • Work with sales to identify opportunities to deliver additional sales (new lines, extra volume) where appropriate
  • Monitor and challenge service levels in line with key business measures and targets

Customer Relationship Management (15%)

  • First point of contact for the customer with responsibility for communicating day to day supply issues in line with the Perfect Communication process
  • Drive visibility of customer service metrics to the customer team (demand and supply) through daily and  periodic customer reporting

Account Co-ordination and Development (15%)

  • Implementing actions to continuously improve Customer service levels and Account efficiencies.
  • Contribution to Business Unit / Account meetings as and when required 
  • Working with / visiting Customer Supply Chain or buying contacts to develop account specific expertise


Our roles will require individuals to be flexible with regards to working weekends and bank holidays


What we want from you:

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual who can demonstrate high learning agility and future potential and has a desire to progress within customer logistics and the wider business.    


  • Ideally the candidate will have systems aptitude and ability to learn new systems as the role requires a high level of SAP usage (on the job training will be provided).  Will be a proficient excel user with good communication skills.
  • Supply chain or customer facing experience, whilst not essential would greatly benefit your application.
