Sales Support Royal Canin

This job aims to support the Veterinary team in the Netherlands (VET NL Team), Key Account Manager, and the field sales team. We are maximizing our numerical distribution, sales and volume, to drive the recommendation of the Royal Canin brand by the VET and achieve sustainable growth together with our veterinary partners. 

Key responsibilities are in Sales Forecasting, Sales Reporting, Promotional Planning, and Account Delivery. In addition, Sales Support is the first point of contact for the Key Accounts and the field sales team.
On top of this, the Sales Support is the “liaison” between the Sales – and other teams, like Finance, Logistics and Trade Marketing. 


The goal is to facilitate the team’s activities to maximize their performance and the solid and long-lasting development of the company. So, you can expect to take on high responsibilities to grow our business by building strong mutual relationships with our VET partners.


What would be your key responsibilities?

  • First point of contact for the VET NL partners in sales forecasting, promotional planning, and customer delivery.
  • Provide the Key Account Managers and field sales team with excellent support to deliver the excellent execution of trade strategies at their VET partners in the NL market. This includes all necessary support in category & trade management, sales revenue management, promotional planning. All to meet the KPIs of the Operation Plan, for example: Turnover, Volume, Profitability, Numerical Distribution, Trade Spend etc.
  • Deliver the periodic sales reporting to the VET NL team and the European Sales Revenue Management team regarding the Trade Terms and Promotional Activities.
  • Key user of (Power BI) dashboarding and CRM system (Set to Sell) for the VET NL team 
  • Liaison and first point of contact between the VET NL Team and other finance, logistics, and customer marketing teams. 


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preference for business management or sales/marketing.
  • You are dynamic, open-minded, and able to work as part of a team and to use your initiative.
  • A high potential mindset. 
  • Experience in a commercial environment in a support role can be a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills (verbally and written) in English and Dutch, preferably also in French.
  • Relevant experience in the use software like MS-Excel and Power BI and CRM systems (Set to Sell)
