Job Purpose/Overview:
This role is a Strategic DT Leader driving change and transformation within a given segment & geography. Partners with Global or Regional/Functional Segment leaders and their teams to define the segment Digital Strategy and portfolio of high business value change initiatives within geographical remit. Helps to drive speed and focus through building mutual partnerships across Digital Technology towers and influencing key stakeholders across the segment. Is accountable for all Digital Technologies deliveries supporting the Supply Chain/VCO within Royal Canin Europe and is the Technology Lead for the Royal Canin North Europe Clusters (Benelux, Nordics and CNE).

 

Key Responsibilities:
Provides Strategic Leadership by:
•    Segment Alignment: Defines & owns the Digital Technologies strategy within the context of Supply Chain/VCO for RC Europe and overall In geographical context of North Europe (supported by other Functional leads)
•    Disrupt with Digital: Brings to life within the segment business value delivery through digital capabilities 
•    Digital Mindset: Drives the usage of the Mars Digital Flywheel and underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics and automation
•    External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by maintaining an external network of digital professionals to deliver value faster. Contributes to build Mars Digital branding externally.
Delivering Change
•    Strategy Delivery: Accountable and acts as escalation point for RC Europe VCO Digital Technologies strategy delivery (on time, in scope, on budget)
•    Business Transformation: Organize and Deliver multi-years, large scale programs to deliver efficiency, growth or people engagement.
•    Capability Adoption: Drives the continuous adoption of Digital & Technologies capabilities and competencies within the segment/geography
Operational Excellence
•    Rationalization: Continuously challenge the status quo to drive opportunities to standardize and rationalize IT Landscape 
•    Budget: co-accountable with Mars Digital Technologies S&F for Total DT Costs for Segment/geography and ensure to achieve Business Targets
•    Service: Monitors quality of Digital Technologies service provided to segment/geography and acts as point of escalation when necessary
People Leadership
•    Competencies: Works with the segment/geography to ensure that necessary Digital competencies are in place
•    Stakeholder management: Works with the segment/geography leaders to ensure that Digital Technologies effectively support Europe/Markets VCO agenda and North Europe overall agenda
•    Teams of Team: Manage Associates & contractors’ engagement behind segment/geography, beyond reporting lines

Segment/geography Context and Scope:
The role looks after The Digital Technology enablement of the VCO strategy in Royal Canin Europe, the key function to work with Is VCO/Supply Chain. 
In addition, the role has also a market focus, being the RC DT market primary lead for the North Europe clusters working alongside other RC DT Leaders peers to define and own the overall DT agenda for the market. The role defines & delivers a digital transformation agenda that create business values as part of Royal Canin Europe Transformation.
The main counterparts in the segment are Regional functional leader, Market GMs & their leadership teams. The main counterparts in Digital Technologies are leaders of the various functional/technology towers.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

 

Education & Professional Qualifications    Bachelor Degree or Equivalent (DT Degree preferred)
Knowledge / Experience    
•    Minimum 5 years working in a Digital Tech related role, depending on scale of the role
•    Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders
•    Strong Story Telling skills-Excellent communication Skills
•    Deep understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology
•    Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff 
•    Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business
•    Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills 
•    Experience working across multiple levels of an organization
•    Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.
•    Should have a proven track record of delivering results in some of the following three areas: Project delivery, Program 
•    Management, Senior Management exposure 
•    Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority
