The current CPG/FMCG industry’s evolution and growth across the globe is being defined by ‘fragmentation’ in how Media is consumed, how Consumers learn about Brands and how they purchase products. This development demands a nuanced understanding of Consumer Occasions and is also inherently driving volatility across the Supply Chain.

 

The singular barrier, however, to our ability in developing a holistic understanding of this evolving worldview is the lack of “Line of Sight” to the entire ‘Demand/Supply’ Chain. Simply put it is the ability to view Commodity Prices + Cost of Manufacturing + Cost of Marketing & Selling + Consumer Price Elasticity’s, etc. The solution to this would be to create a Connected Data & Analytics framework across the entire ‘Demand/Supply’ Chain

 

Our recommendation is to start with the ‘Demand’ side of this equation and lay the foundation for a Connected Data and Analytics strategy to accelerate Mars’ ‘One Demand’ agenda. We need to expand our capabilities for closed-loop measurement/analysis and use these insights to increase our Marketing Impact and accelerate our growth with our Customers.

 

Mars is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Advanced Analytics Manager to build and scale the Advanced Analytics & Measurement Capability.

In this role you will:

 

  • Create central hub of Data Science and Visualizing capabilities to leverage existing data and drive incremental growth
  • Bring thought leadership to evolving analytic and data infrastructure capabilities. Develop and deploy test/learn pilots to prove feasibility. Scale and repeat for Global implementation
  • Enhance media content and execution excellence by supporting analytic needs of the communications team in Mars CMI
  • Support and Consult Mars CMI' Centre Of Excellence on evolving analytics & measurement toolkit
  • Deliver a mechanism to track and measure holistic marketing performance across "Paid" (TV, Digital, Search, Mobile Executions, Trade/Merch, Couponing, Social, etc.), "Owned" (Websites, Social Platforms, Vid2eo Channels, Packaging, etc.) and "Earned" (Amplification attributable to social media, Social Mentions, Searches related to our brands, Video Pins/Shares, PR, etc.)

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • A strong quantitative and qualitative background
  • Proven track record of deploying globally operational teams and capabilities to drive analytics tools/methodologies in a complex, commercial business environment
  • University degree (Engineering or equivalent with a strong focus on data analytics and marketing strategy)
  • MBA, specialising in Marketing
