We are looking for a dairy raw material category owner.  Reporting into the Snr. Manager Raw Materials & Value Leadership, the role is the R&D lead for Diary raw material process projects together with the responsibility to manage the raws portfolio for regional growth projects.

We are looking for a dairy raw material category owner.  Reporting into the Snr. Manager Raw Materials & Value Leadership, the role is the R&D lead for Diary raw material process projects together with the responsibility to manage the raws portfolio for regional growth projects.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Be the primary R&D owner of the dairy raw material category, providing high quality end-to-end partnership throughout all steps of raw material life cycle in line with MQM standard requirements. This includes:

 

  1. Material risk assessment
  2. Specification management through systems and process
  3. Identification of the need for change in raw material specs
  4. Business process ownership in one of MQM-related areas

 

  • Work in close cooperation with the other category owners to lead and deliver cross category projects along with other groups within R&D and Commercial
  • Own and manage the portfolio of raw materials needed for the regional growth projects
  • Key user for crucial systems Veritas & Nexus
  • A thought partner with commercial on the future of the dairy category within Mars, understanding current and upcoming challenges from supply security together with bringing a supplier perspective  into our internal standards

 

 

What we want from you:

 

  • A Degree level qualification in a relevant technical or scientific discipline is essential (e.g. Food Science/Technology, Biological, Chemical, or Engineering Sciences).
  • Good understanding of food science including GMP, Quality and food safety risk management, analytical and microbiological testing approach, process engineering and food preparation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of dealing with a wide range of associates/stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills. 
  • Ability to maintain composure and positive working relationships.
  • Flexibility to changing priorities with the ability to work independently/autonomously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Intellectually curious to solve problems, identify opportunities and follow through to implement.
