Key Responsibilities/职位描述

Participate to the selection of raw materials suppliers:

  • Support the development and implementation of new raw materials in response to the Innovation Pipeline
  • Evaluate the new & existing suppliers policy, process capability and management ability to qualify & deliver consistent materials 
  • Drive supplier continuous improvement of quality & food safety and innovation at supplier level in collaboration with RC stakeholders
  • Manage the audits (plant, organization, tools, traceability…) of each supplier included in the Officer’s portfolio following the Mars standards
  • Write audit reports, propose corrective action plan and follow-up accordingly (S-CAPA)
  • Communicate of our Quality, Food safety and Sustainability policies to suppliers
  • Communicate to the buyer the business opportunities identified through supplier contacts

Monitor the quality of raw materials delivered to Royal Canin East-Asia factories:

  • Monitor the quality & food safety results of deliveries
  • Understand the methods and analytical tools used
  • Contribute to Supplier Scorecard quality (KPI) and performance review
  • Implement relevant quality focus and follow up
  • Anticipate / Manage raw materials related non-conformances and crisis effectively to minimize business impact
  • Propose and agree with supplier relevant continuous improvement plan and follow the effectiveness of the preventive and corrective actions
  • Periodic communication in place with key suppliers
  • Update the quarterly synthesis and the annual evaluation file and share it with the stakeholders

Guarantee the compliance with RC purchasing rules:

  • Pilot the Raw materials Quality Management Process in relation with factories, R&D, Global team for the region, through proper metrics and measures, consolidated and reported to key stakeholders
  • Perform Raw Materials Risk Assessment as required
  • Manage the creation and update of raw materials specifications as required
  • Drive the sustainability agenda for raw materials with our suppliers
  • Evaluate regulatory climate by monitoring and analyzing regulations (FDA,CFIA,…), guidelines and standards, assistance if required in FDA/USDA inspections
  • Assist in all LRQA and internal audits, respecting the PQM and RC Commercial TRUST rules
  • Guarantee the knowledge management of the raw materials quality and share this knowledge with the team



Education & Professional Qualifications   

•        Bachelor or Master degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Engineering Science or similar technical field

       Need to satisfactorily complete during the first year an accredited Lead Auditor training course


Knowledge / Experience    

•        Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical area such as quality assurance, quality & food safety, continuous improvement, production

       Knowledge of raw materials

       Experience of monitoring projects at supplier sites

       Well-organized, disciplined, attentive to detail

       Good common sense, decision quality

       Influencing, communication and negotiation skills

       English: read, written, spoken. Chinese/Korean: an advantage

       Free to travel in Asia to 25% of their time
