This job exists to craft and carry out marketing strategies and related supporting tactics including advertising, promotions and partnerships that drive traffic and sales to M&M’S® Store Shanghai & on-line store platforms. The position is also responsible for aggregating and analyzing data and developing reports distributed to the Director and other members of the team, including other senior leaders. This is a key role on the China Market Team, and the successful associate will be a strong contributor and collaborator with other team members. This role would report directly to the China Market Director and would be instrumental in contributing to the China Digital marketing strategy.

More specifically, this role will manage the paid media portfolio including display and other digital activations (SEM/SEO) for digital store platforms, TV, radio, print, OOH, PR, and in-store functions. This associate will also oversee any brand research and tracking, day-to-day partnership with media and advertising/marketing agencies and will develop strategic alliances with Global Marketing partners. This role will collaborate with internal associates such as for merchandise, creative development and graphic design, CRM, and public relations/social media and related events.

Key Responsibilies:
• Work directly with China Market Director to develop and implement China Digital business strategy including e-commerce, B2B and marketing
• Maintain close working relationship with Global Sr. Store Marketing Manager to collaborate on best practices, global insights and traffic reporting, and consistency/global standards
• Work with the Wider Marketing Team on China Cohort Project
• Collaborate with core M&M’S brand marketing team as needed for alignment related to “M&M’S Ecosystem” and related projects. At least 3 collaborations a year will be needed.
• Ensure execution of the global marketing strategy and plan, including using data to make decisions and propose new tactics for business growth.
• Development of store and digital marketing strategies, and management of local calendar and related activations.
• Collaborate with other marketing team members for merchandising/pricing, creative, website, search/affiliate media, as well as other team members overseeing production, customer service, and business development.
• Regular monitoring, analyzing for trend, recommendations of improvements and reporting of performance against marketing KPI’s (current plan and prior year) and owning this for all stores.
• Handle day-to-day management/accounting of marketing budget and accrual process.
• Partner with cross-functional team members to ensure shared goals, objectives and initiatives are realized.
• Research and understand competitors in the marketplace and Globally for other stores including positioning/messaging, pricing and advantages/disadvantages as far as advertising and merchandising programs/launches are concerned
• Execute in-store events and deliver in-house communication, marketing and PR events.
• Develop and evaluate KPIs for all retail marketing programs. Track performance with monthly dashboards by market and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement and positive ROI.


Requirements:
1. Education & Professional Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital, Marketing, or a related area of study (i.e., business).
2. Knowledge/Experience
• Developing annual marketing plans with targeted ROI.
• Project management.
• Public relations and event management experience.
• Execution of successful social media campaigns.
• Ability to develop marketing strategies and successful executions in a highly-tactical environment while remaining true to brand’s character and position.
• Demonstrated success implementing, monitoring, measuring and recommending course-correcting marketing initiatives.
• Understanding of media strategy and management of related agencies.
• Ability to make business decisions using data and test-and-learn approach, as well as experience interpreting brand research studies.
• Experience working with external media, PR and creative agencies.
• CRM/Data Analysis experience
• Digital Marketing Experience: WeChat, T-Mall. Etc
