Identifies, delivers and supports innovative IT solutions required by the local business, based on requirements for both the local applications directly under his/her ownership, or requests that go beyond the local applications footprint and into the wider Mars IS.

 

This position is accountable for the support of local and regional service levels within the Sales and Marketing functions (eBiz and CRM).  The ideal candidate will provide an even balance between leadership and technical ability. A technical background should include system analysis, business analysis and a technical understanding of eCommerce and CRM systems.  This associate will provide direction to a team (local contractors, vendors and partners) and will coordinate between local, regional and global software development.  This position will manage stakeholders from all business functions within the local market.  This position will require strengths in stakeholder management, driving for results and informal leadership.  This role will require a strong relationship with the team’s other analysts. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in current business process, defines new ways of working, and determines actions required to implement new processes. 
  • Owns the local solutions footprint and drives to minimise this footprint as much as possible to increase the number of global/regional solutions in the overall Mars IS portfolio.
  • Where these actions involve the provision of applications/software solutions, the Business Analyst will work with the Core Capabilities teams to identify solutions.
  • In some instances, particularly where the project is smaller and linked to the local solution set,  may be responsible for the analysis and project management required to deliver the solution.
  • Works closely with Business Managers, Business Process Experts, Functional Experts and Key Users, Account Managers, and groups external to the organization.
  • Has Project budgetary responsibility including planning, forecasting, execution and approvals, and deliver to Mars IS financial targets.
  • Ensures Mars IS quality and standards are applied to all deliverables.

 

SCOPE

The role looks after (a) specific sites within a segment, depending on the size of the business. The main counterparts in the business are the market / unit key users. Within Mars IS, the key interactions are with the core capabilities and core services teams.

 

 

 

EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree or equivalent (IT degree preferred)

 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, IT personnel and project leaders
  • Sound understanding of a company’s business and technology strategies and established business process areas and the ways in which technology may impact and enhance business processes
  • Strong technical skills to be able to evaluate technology and process alternatives
  • Good written skills as well as high interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem analysis and influencing / networking skills.
  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in one of the following three areas:
    Application support, Project delivery, Senior Management exposure
