Job Purpose/Overview

  • ROYAL CANIN JAPON SPT-R Sales Representative enables to influence / educate specialty
  • petshops to increase RC product recommendation aligning with selective distribution model (J-Clara).
  • Drive RCJ’s product sales and increase the market share within the assigned area by bridging between RCJ and business partners for RC’s distinctive brand position and values among pet owners through wholesalers and petshops. Execute annual commercial plans for the area which can be contributed and delivered Pillar annual sales target.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work and behave as a company representative, demonstrate and communicate to maximize the value at petshops and sustain the positioning
  • Motivate and consult petshops as RC is the best partner for them
  • Be responsible to deliver the annual sales target at assigned area
  • Develop weekly call plan approved by District Sales Manager for effective and efficient business
  • Gain insight from customers to grow the business in assigned area, district, and Pillar
  • Manage and review petshops performance and take action when find the sales gap
  • Educate health nutrition knowledge to petshops and wholesalers to deploy prescription business model
  • Implement nutrition seminars for each stakeholder in the market
  • Execute promotions which provided by Marketing/Trade Planning for the business growth
  • Take immediate action in the situation of emergency or customer complaints
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to increase RC brand values
  • Cultivate own skill as consulting sales through the sales training program


Context and Scope

  • The priority of this role is to fully understand Pillar strategies and build/strengthen relationship with customers to deliver sales growth in assigned area. Continuously develop sales skills supported by LM (District Sales Manager). The role is also expected to provide input/insight from customers (petshops and wholesalers) to Pillar to develop successful annual sales plan.


Job Specifications/Qualifications
1. Education & Professional Qualification
University degree
2. Knowledge/Experience
More than 3 years of field sales experience
- understanding retail sales environment and marketplace (preferably in FMCG)
- intermediate IT skill (excel, word, power point)
3. Physical/Mental Requirements
Healthy in mental and physical
