Sr Manager Business Intel & Analytics US
Location: Newark, New Jersey

This role partners with the regional Business Intel and global data and analytics team to ensure that the regional Business is equipped with the right data and tools to make quick and accurate decisions, that the Insights team and stakeholders have instant access to business performance globally, regionally, locally, and that the Business is more effective & efficient through use of technology, tools & fit for purpose data.


What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years’ experience in consumer/shopper insights and market research (preferably in CPG)
  • 5+ years’ experience in working with multiple data types and data suppliers (Nielsen, Kantar, Profitero, 1010 and other digital data suppliers, as well as Google, FB, social listening data and others) 
  • Experience working with advanced analytical partners (Fractal, MuSigma, Periscope etc.)
  • Experience with Data Visualization/reporting and advanced BI analytics incl. AI, Machine & Deep Learning 
  • Degree in Consumer/Shopper Insights / Market Research or related field
  • Preferred:  MBA or equivalent in a related field (business or social science)


What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Generate regional Consumption insights and analysis including Category, Mars Wrigley, Competitive Consumption Period/YE Reports, S&OP (Step 1 and DMR deliverables), in sync with the business calendar and planning  cycle(1-3 years)
  • Partner with business intel team on deployment of regional Business Intel priorities incl (but not limited to) Category Forecast model, Category/Brand Incrementality models, and embed insights from these into business processes with focus on sales-based needs.  
  • Responsible for Regional LT specific consumer consumption data requests and analysis
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Business Intel & Analytics team to deploy Signature tools, best in class data visualization reporting and analytics
  • Explore and identify new data sources and suppliers where needed/value add
  • Partner with business intel team and supplier partners on regional and local Syndicated Data (Nielsen) database updates/refreshes, ensuring updates for Mars and competitive new items are current and that the Category Standard is aligned with global guidelines
  • Regional expert on Growth Philosophy and Flywheel; drive evolution of Flywheel from regional perspective
  • Partner on functional coaching for more junior team members and cross-functional associates where necessary to build analytics and data utilization
