The Supplier Strategic and Analytics Director oversees and drives supplier strategy and analytics in pursuit of maximizing Mars Wrigley North America value delivery. This role develops a supplier roadmap strategy including a toolset to drive procurement functional excellence, and a balanced scorecard to steer the team and ensure results delivery year on year.


This role is a key sponsor for activities (incl. analytics, systems, tools, and transformations) that will advance the overall effectiveness of Commercial in the region.


Serves as head of strategy for Commercial reporting to Strategic Sourcing Director, this role sits on the MWNA Commercial Leadership Team and supports the overall delivery of the functional and talent agenda as well as leading the “Maximize” pillar.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and ensuring execution of the 6-7% Prime Value Leadership agenda for the next 3 years, focused on both activities and capability building as needed. As part of the overall strategy design and implement a best-in-class Value Leadership Program that can be deployed globally and across the regions (by refining long term Ambition and Vision, Annual business objectives, Governance principles, improved tools and p processes, etc.).
  • Develop standardized templates, tools, processes, analytics and common vocabulary for deployment across the function that enhances overall performance in partnership with Mars Global Services.
  • Be a driving force for benchmarking and bringing the outside in as a means to enhancing functional performance in pursuit of becoming best in class, be a thought leader.
  • Coach team in the development of Robust Cost Models for Key Sourcing Categories
  • Partner with Global Program and other segment leads to support development and deployment of programs throughout the segment including Supplier Relationship Management
  • Influence across the Global Commercial leadership team and systematically build relationships
  • Continually assess what a best-in-class Procurement Function is and drive implementation of ways to achieve this ambition
  • Sponsor activities that will forward both the productivity and broader commercial agenda 
  • Co-piloting VP Commercial as necessary to support team ways of working and efficiency, engagement, program acceleration and functional communications.
  • Lead a highly engaged team of 4-5 associates



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain
  • Core functional expertise in procurement
  • Proven success in project and process management
  • Demonstrated experience working on a business leadership team
  • Strong Analytics with Experience in Cost Modelling Preferred
  • Experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience managing others (ability to lead, engage and develop teams)
