Accounting and Reporting Manager

The Mars Wrigley North America Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for analyzing financial information to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.  This includes collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information driven by actual business results and compliance with accounting policies.  The Accounting & Reporting Manager is also responsible for coordinating with the business and finance associates with regard to the determination of the appropriate accounting for new transactions and/or policy/accounting standard changes. The role requires partnership with multiple stakeholders including the Mars Wrigley North American Financial Controller, SFO, Segment Controller team, the Demand and Supply finance organization, ICTC, and others to identify and deliver improved efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and controls within the close and reporting cycle. This role requires an expertise in accounting principles and a high-level of digital capability as it focuses on analysis of results and providing insights to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financials and continuous improvements.


What are we looking for?

• University degree in Accounting

• 3+ years of accounting or financial audit experience

• CPA preferred 

• SAP Experience or Equivalent ERP system

• Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and technical accounting

•Strong analytical and reporting skills and ability to translate into business insights


What will be your key responsibilities?

• Business partnering to provide accounting guidance and perspective on all new accounting processes under consideration;

• Perform financial analysis to ensure the quality of accounts, including fluctuation analysis with commentary and provide insights on financial results

• Business partnering to design efficient and effective solutions for process improvement

• Support period, quarter and year-end activities to ensure the timely delivery of financials;

• Support business activities with accounting related matters

• Responsible for the execution and oversight of internal controls across the Mars Wrigley North America business
