Job Purpose

This role plays a critical role to drive and govern North America Market Units to establish Quality management processes and capabilities so that each Market Unit can protect our business and drives customer/consumer satisfactions through better quality products/services.


What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor of Science Degree is required with emphasis in food science/animal science.
  • At least two years Quality or Commercial experience in the Food Industry is preferred. 
  • Computer skills sufficient to use data input and retrieval systems, spreadsheets, word processors are required.
  • Travel Required:  10-20%
  • R&D/Q&FS of food or FMCG
  • Mars QMP or Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001)
  • Lead auditor
  • 2 year-experience working in MARS or similar role in FMCG or food company
  • Quality related Mars Global standards or Quality management principles in the industry
  • International influence skill in multi cultures and countries


What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Support and govern North America market unit for Quality Management Process compliance
  • Define the North America standard of QMP scopes for Market Unit
  • Harmonize market unit and business unit scope to ensure QMP is well integrated in the region.
  • Confirmation of Market Units QMP compliance and engagement in driving continuous improvement activities.
  •  Facilitate QMP agenda in Market Unit Quality Forum to share best practices for QMP implementation, develop the North America standard methodology and practices, and regularly update according to new learnings, Global Standard update, or other changes.
  • Management of period-based Market Unit product cuttings and sharing of results with key stakeholders to drive product quality deliverables.
  • Governance of U.S. regulatory compliance implementation and maintenance at Affiliate Market supplying locations.
  • Review of CPM data with Affiliate Market supplying locations to ensure action plans in place to drive annual CPM reduction target.
  • On-boarding of new Affiliate Market supplying locations to ensure compliance with all North America QFS and regulatory compliance requirements.
  •  Maintain customer relationships to ensure that quality and food safety requirements are met.
  • Support PRIMP investigation processes to help drive correct market unit decisions relating to food safety and quality.
