Mars Inc. has embarked on a Digital Transformation in support of a clear Digitization Strategy, which touches every aspect of our business. The Digital Demand Teams mission is to enable our great Products and Content to be marketed effectively to our Customers and Consumers and monetized via efficient ecommerce; constantly learning and personalizing with advanced analytics and creating effective internal & external collaboration for our associates and stakeholders.  We are building product centric teams, working with agile principles & delivering value at a fast pace to keep up with a quickly changing landscape in order to accelerate Digital Commerce & Marketing within Mars Inc.

 

This role will create the global technology strategy and lead the delivery of digital solutions enabling intelligent marketing reach and digital marketing personalization at scale. This person will manage a team of product owners accountable for delivering the marketing technology stack to the divisions and local markets.  He/she will also own the overall digital demand strategy for the Mars Wrigley segment of the business.

 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES   

  • Responsible for defining the technology strategy across digital marketing at the global cross division level for Mars, as well as leading execution of these strategies.
  • This role will be accountable for delivering the technologies that enable our Marketing teams to better understand our consumer than our competition by deploying martech solutions that strive to deliver a 360 degree view of our consumer
  • Drive  & develops new user stories to the global backlog using design thinking skills – leads activities through to completion in partnership with the product team and local business teams
  • Own regular feedback loops and relationship management against many stakeholders – content & data teams, marketing, agencies, developers, and our internal product team including the Global Product Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

 

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering / Marketing required
  • 7+ years of experience defining and managing digital products, preferably with ecommerce but definitely in Digital Marketing solutions
  • Preferred: 3+ years’ experience managing medium to large sized digital products and projects, using SAFe or Scrum frameworks
  • Preferred: have varied experience in the past as a BA, QA, and/or Developer (this is not a hands’ on coding position, but having the background will help)
