We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Mill Process and Training Operator to work within our Horsecare division at Milton Keynes. The role will involve working alongside the processing team to support the all processing areas (Intake, Blending Press Floor and Flaking) at the mill site to provide a finished product to the Packing lines, Fibres and Treat line. The role is pivotal maintaining our reputation of delivering high-quality products first-time, safely and efficiently. The role will include some decision making around Quality and Operational situations and working with the FMOS process  where appropriate.



  • Monitor/test relevant areas and report/react to all non-compliances as directed
  • Training associates to ensure they can complete their daily taks to an efficient level, complete appropriate training records and ensure they are up-to-date
  • Maintain the plant and all relevant daily checks as required
  • Maintain all hygiene standards for each area of responsibility, ensuring the plant is kept clean and tidy at all times and that all standards are maintained and schedules are completed
  • Complete all hygiene checks as directed by the QA team
  • Ensure accurare, safe operation of all equipment and plant areas of responsibility while ensuring any defects are reported and dealt with promptly by the maintenance team
  • Operate plant withing guidelines laid down by both verbal and written instructions
  • Implement site work instructions and achieve standards to meet product spec
  • Maintain effective communication with all Operations staff to create maximum efficiency
  • Always maintain a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures including PPE compliance and ensuring relevant qualifications/licenses are possessed for machine operation
  • Completing all Spilops information in a timely manner as deemed necessary for the business
  • Maintain own training of process to maximise efficiency 
  • Work with Process Operators to flex with any necessary changes
  • Take part in annual impact Planning sessions with the team to build on associate engagement
  • Continue self development through the ITMS system to grow our talent pipeline
  • Support to provide bin dips each morning to the Site Scheduler and Raw Material Controller
  • Flag any plant issues to Shift Managers to escalate through DOM process
  • Complete daily and weekly hygiene standards around the areas you've been allocated
  • Communicate with maintenance department to fix leaks
  • Support process maintenance daily, weekly or annually
