Position Title: Dog Portfolio Manager

1. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is in charge of leading one of the Petcare category portfolio, Dog in Japan by driving penetration of several brands under the portfolio. The portfolio revenue is $100m scale.

The position develops and delivers the category portfolio strategy that can win in Japan market by leveraging deep understanding of the consumer insight and the Brand strategies with alignment of the Local and Global stakeholders. The position implements innovation and activation plan by leading and collaborating with Local / Regional / Global cross-function team with engagement.

The position is responsible for developing direct reports as the future marketing leaders. 

Needs minimum 7 years’ experience in FMCG Marketing or equivalent experience with strong achievement record.  Experience in collaborating with cross-functional members and supervising subordinates. Needs strong communication skill in both Japanese and English.

 

 

2. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

 Deliver strategy and plan of the Dog category portfolio in the agreed budget to achieve the aligned business target
 Create the winning short & mid-term strategy and plan of the portfolio that rooted in deep understanding of the category and the local consumer insight; build alignment with the Global strategy and key stakeholders.
 Develop and deliver the winning propositions for the CESAR, PRO MANAGE, PEDIGREE brands under the portfolio that create business building solutions by working closely with the Marketing Director.
 Lead and manage innovations and activations in the portfolio with alignment of key stakeholders by working closely with the Marketing Director.
 Develop direct reports’ functional and leadership competencies through supervising and coaching as future marketing leaders.
 Co-lead and co-create Marketing team’s engagement with other Managers and Marketing Director. 
 Co-lead and Co-create cross functional WoW (Ways Of Working) and engagement. 
 Contribute to development & activation of Global marketing strategies for global brands as one of the key category market.
 Manage deliverables for the portfolio and WoW of partner agencies (Communication Agency, Package Design Agency, Media Planning Firm, BLT agencies).

 

3. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY

 Agree with Marketing Director /Leadership Team/ Global & Regional stakeholders on the portfolio strategy, innovation, activation plan.
 Input and recommend total Dog portfolio strategy and plan to the Marketing Director.
 Decide with cross functional team or external agencies on best execution of innovation and activation..
 Input category learning and the best practices to Regional / Global communities.
