Automation Engineer – Lewisburg, OH

The Automation Engineer position is responsible for the controls and electrical processing for the Lewisburg, OH facility. Modern integrated factory control architectures have a level of technical sophistication that requires an elevated level of support. Specific knowledge of how to interface, modify, address, repair, reconfigure, program, and upload were traditionally isolated to the information technologies profession. However, these functions are now common vernacular used among factory automation professionals. The development of tighter control, higher production, and traceability has made the underpinnings of a Supervisor of controls and data acquisition, SCADA, and network complex.  


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School diploma required
  • At least 6 years total business experience, 3 years of managerial and leadership experience is desirable
  • Ideal candidate will need to have shown strong ability to lead projects and develop people through creative and effective process management.


What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Establishing a Commissioning, Validation and Startup (CVS) plan for the Royal Canin Ohio factory
  • Effective communication with project and site team to assure proper expectations and timelines are provided in a timely manner
  • Manage the overall efforts of a cross functional team in the successful commissioning, validation and start-up of new assets, processes, and procedures within the Value Stream
  • Identify problems and gaps in CVS / Competency processes and systems. 
  • Work to quickly identify root-causes and develop cross functional solutions to drive improvement.
  • Ensure site problem solving tools (PDCA) are utilized and embedded into our training systems and protocols.
  • Provide CVS Leadership to both ROH project and projects within North American Royal Canin region as assigned.
  • Establish and train and lead an effective team of up to 15 associates to implement CVS strategy.
