The purpose of this job is to order raw materials and consumables for the Kings Lynn factory. This role is a great opportunity to work closely with operations, the warehouse and the site scheduler to get a broad understanding of the Kings Lynn factory, as well as deepen your SAP understanding. The role has a large impact on factory efficiency as well as adherence to schedule and therefore service level to the market.

 

What you will do:

 

Operational

  • Ensure the availability of the raws and consumables with no impact on factory planning
  • Control blocked and aged stock and stock that has to be scrapped.
  • Optimize order quantities by making a trade-off between fixed order costs and storage costs, taking into account the scrap risk.
  • Co-ordinate new raw material introductions in close co-operation with Activity Management

 

Key User – Atlas inbound

  • - Acquire the best knowledge about business processes and supporting systems functionality
  • - Train business users (existing and new joiners) on business processes and supporting systems functionality
  • - Support business users by fixing issues or by escalating issues to regional or global support teams
  • - Represent area of responsibility in x-functional workgroups with other KUs to ensure seamless integration across functions locally

 

What you will need:

 

 

  • Degree in supply chain (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in logistics or operations
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG
  • Relevant SAP experience necessary
