Senior Controls Technician – Hackettstown, NJ

The Senior Controls Technician’s primary responsibility is the preservation of the site control systems for automating manufacturing processes and wrapping systems. The Senior Controls Technician is accountable to ensure delivery and support for all Factory Controls & IT related Systems, following applicable Global/Regional Standards. Additionally, they will help execute the strategy for Factory Controls & IT Asset Health Check Program.


What are we looking for?

  •  2 - year Technical Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years Factory Controls & IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Server Administration knowledge
  • Knowledge of databases such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, and database connectivity using ODBC and Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent automation software
  • Virtual Infrastructure Administration knowledge
  • Cisco Equipment Architecture knowledge
  • Database Administration knowledge
  • SQL & VBA Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation)
  • 6 - 10 years of Factory Controls & IT experience
  • High Voltage Electrical License

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Delivery and Control of IT Solutions related Services
  • Support the introduction to the plant with new control technologies for Level I, Level II, Level III, and Factory IT control systems
  • Provide Strategy for Factory Control & IT Asset Health Check Program
  • Support all topics related to Factory Controls and IT Infrastructure
  • Ability to work well with user departments to provide the operational support in the use of HMI terminals, including thin-client, along with software applications on Control Systems
  • Ensure Operations on factory premises for Factory Controls & IT Systems (Automation levels 1 to 3)
  • Level 1 Networks 
  • Level 2 SCADA PC hardware & OS
  • Level 3 MES / MOM
