*This is a continental rotating shift. Must be available to work days, nights and weekends pending the rotation schedule. This includes 12 hour days.


Job Purpose:

Provide leadership and operating expertise to guide self-sustaining operating units towards successfully producing products that meet schedule and design specifications at optimum cost while maintaining a safe hygienic work environment


What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years manufacturing leadership experience
  • CI project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering foods science or science background.
  • Operational management principles and competencies
  • Understanding of applicable laws (OHS, ESA, MOL)
  • 5+ years Operational or Technical leadership
  • Supervision or management or direct reports experience
  • Lean business practices / TPM Experience
  • Knowledge of Food safety, HACCP, ISO, SPC
  • Food processing and materials conversion


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading a team of shift associates and providing operational expertise while producing quality product meeting schedule and design specifications at optimum cost in safe hygienic work environment
  • Utilizes shift resources in most effective manner to meet schedule, quality, and safety focus
  • Educate, promote and develop team operational mindset around efficiency, safety, quality and service
  • Drives high level of associate engagement within team; develops associates through the Performance Development Program; timely addressing performance issues, and recognition of exceptional performance
  • Reduces changeover and sanitation times through lean tools
  • Drive TPM behaviour on their team, and role models TPM practices.
  • Drives site continuous improvement initiatives and projects using shift resources in conjunction with site engineering and CI resources
  • Supports business systems development by ensuring all systems transactions are completed, accurate and reported at end of shift
  • Provides direction for third-party temps, contractors, and vendors
  • Executes Shift Lead standard work, including Line Tours
  • Responsible for following all Quality and Food Safety Policies and applicable procedures
  • All other duties & responsibilities as assigned
