Job Purpose/Overview

Mars Wrigley is undergoing a reinvention that includes resetting the cocoa supply chain to drive towards a modern, responsible and sustainable supply chain. That includes growing cocoa at large scale both by advancing established initiatives in Latin America, and by exploring new ventures.

Our needs in Latin America have advanced whereby we need to be deeply engaged in public policy advocacy in the countries with a strong cocoa presence (Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia and Central America).  We need to be building reputation and trust with policymakers, NGOs, media and other opinion leaders to protect our investments.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for leading our Mars Wrigley public affairs agenda in Latin America with a strong focus on enabling the Cocoa for Generations strategy for innovative large-scale farming.

She/he will be responsible for corporate reputation and this will involve quality external engagement with senior government officials and other key stakeholders -academic, civil society, specialized cocoa trade associations and local external leaders- as well as proactive media relations.

Internally, she/he will support Associate engagement at Mars cocoa sites in the region, line the Mars Wrigley Purpose and connected to cocoa and broader sustainable sourcing.
