Key Responsibilities/职位描述

  • Responsible to develop and institutionalize an enterprise wide annual sourcing plan (ASP) for China across ATL Category (Media, Market Research, Creative, etc…) & BTL (Display, Premia & Promoters) including their respective subcategories not limited to the activities of value creation in terms of P&L impact, cost avoidance, contribution to the productivity programs of each Segment and cash, drive innovation through excellence in category management. Ensure maximum coverage of the USD 350M in spend with a documented 3 to 5 year strategy.
  • Manage four Associates responsible for Media/ATL/BTL/E-commerce including talent development, driving engagement and performance management.
  • Lead the Program MEGA implementation in China in regards of Marketing & Sales category.
  • Collaborate with the MGS Commercial APMEA Regional Sourcing Lead to ensure China cluster market knowledge is included in the Global and regional strategies and implement regional and global strategy MSSM process locally within the requirements of the local market conditions. 
  • Participate in the regional collaborative community within the Category that includes the Operation team members responsible for that category based within each of the APMEA clusters including China, ANZ, NSEA India and MEA that together will deliver the ASP for each category by executing the activities of value creation as above (point 1).
  • Responsible to ensure all ATL services & BTL Material & Services are purchased in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by ensuring a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, tenders/RFP’s etc.) are applied effectively.
  • Establish and maintain relationships, partnering with the key local and regional stakeholders including regional and key country functional leaders in Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing and Finance, GM’s and CFO’s to ensure understanding and alignment with the business needs and requirements. Provides market and financial insights and inputs to the internal financial planning and review processes.
  • Develop local market Category insights including benchmarking externally and importing best practices locally. Share best practices across the Sourcing-Operations Category teams in APMEA region.
  • Responsible for the relationships with global/local suppliers to drive performance management, deliver continuous quality and cost improvement as well as develop supplier enabled innovations.
  • Recommend a category strategy that ensures effective risk management through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs.  Act as a key contact for regional and critical supplier relationships. Ensure the supplier base is optimized to enable the implementation of Keystone which is an end to end procure to pay process in category management.
  • Develop & implement a continuous improvement action plan ensuring knowledge share with regional team. Monitor changes and adjust the plan as needed to sustain performance results.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, systems and controls according to Mars standards. Communicates business risk & opportunity.



1. Education & Professional Qualification

Bachelor degree in business, procurement, marketing or related field

Advanced degree is preferred

Fluent in English

2. Knowledge/Experience

> 10 years of professional experience, ideally buying experience in Marketing categories

 > Demonstrated successful performance in role of similar scope and breadth.  Previous management experience that includes Proven Leadership, Change Management and Project Management skills.  Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex and/or ambiguous business environments.  History of building strong client and supplier relationships

> Experience of the APMEA region, especially China
