We are seeking a Shift Manager for our Mars Food site in Greenville, MS.


This is a leadership position which supervises a multi-production area on one shift operation.  This manager will coordinate the short-term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner.  The Shift Manager will facilitate teams in his/her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team.


This position will be on a 12 hour rotating shift between days and nights, 7am - 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am. Shifts are based on a 2-2-3 rotation.


What would be your key responsibilities? 


  • Leads the shift to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Efficiently process and package goods to ensure production goals are met.
  • Adequately staff, train, and equip associates on shift.
  • Handles administrative issues with associates.
  • Focal point for production during active shifts.
  • Reports production numbers for shift and is accountable for issues or problems that arise.


What are we looking for? 


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a Production Environment.
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely.
  • Understanding of major functions within the plant.
  • Ability to work directly with all levels and functions.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods of time (12 hrs.) and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Understand technical equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, including:  MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
