Production Scheduler


This role is critical in gathering Demand requirements to design & issue weekly production schedules for Dry, RTH and Processing areas, covering 2 technologies. Maximize plant capacity & utilization of resources and assets, whilst planning within the scope of optimum product sequencing, cleaning matrices, product change over times and system constraints and delivering above 98.5% customer service levels. Responsible to ensure time is scheduled for Line Trials, PMs and Training without risk to Customer orders. Continual development of processes and procedures are required to achieve excellence in scheduling and keep pace with an ever-changing production environment. Due to the 24hr operation of the plant, this roll has a 24/7 on call requirement. 



    Scheduling – Create consistently predictable schedules for the plant, by integrating key factors such as customer requirement, capacity, asset, resource, and material availability with an end goal of maximizing ATS and TRS performance of the site. Collaborate with Supply Planners to understand macro level trends that will impact factory scheduling and drive discussions ahead of time so that the most optimized schedule can be released each week. Create and publish schedules for current Week + 3 weeks by D3 of each week. 


    Risk Management – Constantly assess risk to the daily and weekly schedules and build and communicate mitigation plans. This involves constant collaboration with Material Planners to understand material availability and obsolescence risks as well as any risk that may develop on a day to day basis due to Operational challenges. Collaborate with a respective functions to communicate and resolve risks.


    LMOS/FMOS – Lead Daily LMOS meeting. Represent Logistics Function in Daily Operations Meeting (DOM) and act the key point of contact for Operations team to determine priorities. Escalate risks to the site management and broader business if/when needed.


    Meetings - Chair and prepare content for the Weekly Plant Scheduling meeting. This meeting has representatives from Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Research & Development, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Training, and Maintenance, and the purpose is to align the Supply Chain operations for the short-term future outlook. Key focus areas include line priorities, R&P risks, training, R&D trials, shutdowns, maintenance requirements, commentaries and any other operational changes or impacts that need to be communicated. Walk away with full clarity of risks and opportunities for the lock window.


    SAP Functional Excellence - A high level of SAP knowledge is required for the role covering data maintenance, creation and set up of new product work flows/recipes, troubleshoot basic SAP issues, testing, and MRP knowledge. Additionally, check recipes and information integrity contained in workflows for accuracy. Coach, knowledge transfer and develop other team members and create and update SOP’s for all key processes.


    Continuous Improvement – This role is constantly evolving due to the nature of a dynamic industry. This requires the ability to keep up with change, learning new systems and adjusting processes to meet business requirements. Problem solving ability and response to on call 24/07 actions.


    Scheduling Functional Expert - Requires expert knowledge of Apollo and Orion scheduling process, including responsibility for creating & maintaining SOP’s for the function. High level functional knowledge of Supply Chain process and plant operations is crucial for successful scheduling. Proficient in Excel & Access essential.



•    5+ years of supply chain experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior inventory management role.
•    A graduate with a relevant / supply chain degree.
•    FMCG experience is a must
•    System functional capability and experience.
•    Project management experience.
•    Demonstrated ability to influence adoption of a significant recommendation involving business process changes and/or new system applications. 
•    LEAN philosophy understanding and application preferable.
