Job role: Operator

Location: Greenville, Mississippi


What’s this role like?


As a Machine Operator, you’ll discover how our Five Principles - particularly Quality and Efficiency - make our factories as strong as possible. You’ll play a big part in getting our delicious brands to our consumers, using your great attention to detail to make sure all our operations are up to standard. Working closely with other Associates in the factory, you’ll help them understand key priorities and be part of our incredible Supply Chain team.


What are the main responsibilities?


Great communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and excellent technical know-how are important in this role. You’ll care deeply about product quality and will have skills across lots of areas - from knowing how to operate a forklift to keeping accurate records.


It’s a mid-level role, so while you won’t have any direct reports, you’ll enjoy a competitive salary and have complete support from your line-manager to develop and progress in your career.


Here are some of the key responsibilities you’ll be focusing on.


  • Listing out major responsibilities and organizing job priorities - from your own tasks to other Associates’
  • Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner - from assessing equipment operating reliability to performing routine repairs, including troubleshooting equipment
  • Working with Maintenance Teams to complete equipment PM’s - including maintaining accurate records of QC checks, production numbers
  • In line with our Efficiency Principle - keeping factory waste to a minimum
  • Keeping detailed logbooks, from documentation to QC tasks on metal checks, including inspection of date codes, item numbers and dump logs - and using our desktop system to report
  • Operating heavy machinery - including forklifts
  • Maintaining knowledge of our products and goals - from understanding production schedules to work instructions
  • Lifting machinery and other equipment that can weigh up to 50lb

What are we looking for?


  • A can-do attitude and good knowledge of manufacturing, operating and safety guidelines
  • A person who genuinely loves working in a team and can take initiative
  • Someone who loves being active in their job - sitting at a desk all day isn’t for you
  • Experience in handling forklifts
