Position Summary:

The Brand Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for assisting the Brand Demand Planning team in analysing, planning and evaluating a rolling 39 month forecast at item/brand/category level through analysis and system requirements.  The Analyst will also be responsible for forecasting a select group of items and will leverage a variety of data sources, including consumption, shipment, and brand insights to drive the demand plan.  The Analyst will assist the team with S&OP Demand Management Review preparations, period position, and other business requests such as Power Pages, and adhoc analysis. Demand planning analyst will seek to improve metrics such as SFA, Bias, WAPE and FVA.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

·       Responsible for data maintenance in JDA including model tuning, reconciliation and negative error corrections, history validation other system responsibilities

·       Provide analysis for key KPI misses and determine drivers working with Brand Demand Planners on correct actions to improve accuracy

·       Assist Brand Demand Planners with ad hoc analysis, including but not limited to ship/consumption analysis, pack / flavor deep dives, etc.

·       Assist  Brand  Demand Planners with S&OP Demand Management Review preparation

·       Create an accurate short term forecast for select items which will be managed by the Brand Demand Planner

·       Provide analytical support that enables team members to make better informed business decisions

·       Utilize existing and/or develop new tools to automate manual tasks

·       Manages and monitors seasonality trends

·       Monitors macro promotion and event activity

·       Monitors the execution of the forecast system

·       Provides KPI reporting to various business partners

 

Required  Experience, Education, and Competencies: 

  • Priority Setting – Is able to manage concurrent tasks and requests and spends their time on those that are important to the forecasting process
  • Planning – Ability to determine length and difficulty of projects and ad hoc analysis accurately
  • Drive for Results – Through management of KPI performance, delivers expectations consistently while remaining bottom line oriented
  • Dealing with Ambiguity – Ability to receive and analyze information and requests without have the total picture
  • Strong Analytical Capabilities – Responsible for analysis that will drive business decisions
  • Approachability - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence associates of all disciplines.
  • Problem solving  - looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at first answer
  • Communication  - Strong in both verbal and written communication
  • Technical (systems/analytical) – picks up on technical things quickly
  • Bachelor's Degree 

 

Preferred Requirements:

·       1+ year experience in data mining and analytics

·       Previous JDA experience preferred
