EU Raws and Pack Scheduler I Oud-Beijerland or Olen





A day in the life of an Associate
This job holder is responsible for the backup solution for the European Food sites. This job holder will be managing and owning the backup solution across the sites, including ensuring up-to-date knowledge on all sites. As a Raws and Pack (R&P) scheduler you are providing uninterruptible flow of inbound materials for the local site, via best in class replenishment execution meeting the scheduled production need, using the most optimum amount of inventory possible to prevent obsolescence and conserve cash. 


EU Inbound KU (20%) 
The Key User (KU) is the enabler for the local business community to work in accordance with the highest possible grade of regionally agreed best practice processes and to efficiently make use of the related systems. As operational expert of the area of responsibility, the KU is the voice of his local community towards the Functional Experts. At the same time the KU has the local mandate to deploy the centrally agreed best practice processes as a priority over local versions. 


EU R&P network responsibilities 

  • Overseeing the backup plans the backup of R&P schedulers across the Food network 
  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge on the R&P ways of working in all European sites 
  • Support sites in developing up-to-date training materials 


Raws & Pack scheduler 

  • Mid and long-term purchasing planning (forecast analysis connected with inbound materials), providing suppliers with the forecasts 
  • Short-term purchase orders, placing purchase orders according to MOQ and lead time, monitoring realization of volume allocation and sends out regular delivery schedules to suppliers 
  • Conducts daily analysis of all changes in materials production demand; assesses all the risk of potential material delivery disruption and immediately provides feedback to production planning and manufacturing; proposes solutions on minimizing those risks 
  • Align delivery dates and means of delivery with all the suppliers, also introduces all the ongoing corrections in SAP, maintaining relevant data in SAP 
  • Controls every stage of purchase order execution until material is delivered to site or site warehouse 
  • Regularly conduct analysis of obsolete and soon to become obsolete materials and takes proactive measures on minimizing the impact from those 
  • Daily and Weekly tracking of KPI’s, responding & communicating as required and drive continuous improvements (representation in Daily and Weekly FLMOS) 
  • Takes part in negotiations at conflict situations with suppliers 
  • Serves as a backup for the other material planners; manage different factories from base location in a virtual way 
  • Support the new initiatives of new suppliers and supplier changes 
  • Support the development and implementation of regional and global strategies and projects 
  • Develop and foster strong Supplier relationships, to enable working with suppliers to provide forecasts, plan for events and changes, and follow-up deliveries and payments on time 
  • Manage sites material Cycle Count process and being an escalation point for the site inventory controllers 
  • Managing the Brexit/customs for inbound materials sourced from the UK 


EU Inbound KU (PDLS inbound and SAP inbound) 

  • Acquire the best knowledge about business processes and supporting systems functionality 
  • Assess process conformance in local business community and suggest actions for improvements if required 
  • Test new systems' functionality (periodical and yearly slots) with the objective to avoid process perturbation and to potentially introduce the new functionality into local business processes in order to move to the next level of best practice 
  • Train business users (existing and new joiners) on business processes and supporting systems functionality 
  • Support business users by fixing issues or by escalating issues to regional or global support teams  
  • Represent area of responsibility in x-functional workgroups with other KUs to ensure seamless integration across functions locally 


What are we looking for?

  • Higher education, university degree preferably in logistics;  
  • >3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain;
  • Could be from similar industry, distributors, or retail;
  • Experience or affinity with systems used in Production Environment (ERP, MRP, etc. e.g SAP); 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language is a pré;
  • Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain or operations;
  • Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate ways of working;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment.
