Job Purpose

To ensure an accurate & efficient planning and scheduling of production, management of FG stock and working proactively with procurement, production and warehouse teams.

 

Key Responsiblities

  • Champion Product availability.
  • Ordering of Imports dry and wet.
  • Assist in forecasting
  • Monitor stock levels following the model in place (MTO)
  • To generate specific reports (KPIs, short dated, @ risk, progress on promotional products)
  • Purchase to the correct levels while respecting finance laws
  • Negotiate best suppliers, price, and quality of goods.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed and booked on the system.
  • Monitor and track internal & external stocks.
  • Follow up with internal purchasing needs
  • Regular contacts with logistics and quality departments
  • Regular contacts with external suppliers
  • Follow up with the purchasing order status

Education and Experience

NQF level 4 /Matric and or Relevant Teritiary Qualification

 

  • Previous experiences in logistic (FIFO, security stock level, point of supply, freight, supply chain, international transport, administration, laws…)
  • Good logical understanding of complex systems
  • Good communication & negotiation skills, Cost conscious, Initiative, Etiquette skills, Self motivated, Team player, Safety & Hygiene & Quality conscious, Basic accounting skills
