Purpose of Role

The SRM Cat and Treats Pricing and Mix Manager reports to the Market SRM Team Leader serving as a key business partner, pricing, and mix expert for the local unit.  This position drives the strategic development & execution of optimized enterprise pricing frameworks and identifies key mix drivers and opportunities across Pet Nutrition cat and treats brands.  As leader of cat and treats revenue growth management, this role ensures improved strategic & tactical portfolio management capabilities as well as market delivery support for profit and revenue optimization initiatives.   


Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead multifunctional sizing and pricing strategy development across cat and treats
  • Develop annual and multiyear plan to drive mix accretion
  • Manage execution of strategic pricing strategy across the marketplace partnering with key business units and customers
  • Lead efficient assortment and SKU optimization work driving productivity and growth
  • Leverage advanced analytics to drive step change in innovation assessment
  • Partner with S&F and marketing to lead yearly in-market pricing plan and execution
  • Develop customer margin roadmaps to maximize trade investment productivity to deliver mutual category value
  • Interacts with customer teams and co-pilots JBP discussions when additional assistance is required to enhance mix opportunities on shelf
  • Assesses competitive landscape across all cat and treats brands to deliver recommendations to enterprise stakeholders on size, price and mix
  • Prepares and delivers brand scorecards to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain technical skills on appropriate software applications to provide optimum level of support (Business Objects, IRI Analyzer, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience which demonstrates advanced problem solving and analytic capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
  • 5-10 years working experience finance, sales, or analytics
  • Four year college degree
