Key Responsibilities/职位描述


The Associate Relations Manager will play a critical role in managing the delivery of associate relations solutions to the organization in China, with a focus on multifunctional labor relations issues critical to the business. A key focus of the incumbent in this role is to proactively drive the development of positive labor relations through inquiry resolution, and to mitigate any adverse impacts to the organization through close adherence to evolving legal and regulatory needs.


  • Build sustainable relationships with key business stakeholders to promote positive associate relations across the organization
  • Assist in the resolution of all workplace and labor issues including disciplinary, grievance and performance improvement cases
  • Lead fact-finding investigations for sensitive and/or complex cases (e.g. interviews, document review, and consultation with appropriate internal stakeholders) to resolve inquiries and complaints
  • Design and administer associate relations policies and protocols
  • Design and institute continuous improvement initiatives to evolve the efficiency of associate relations service delivery across the organization
  • Analyze associate relations cases and put in place pro-active actions to drive a positive associates relations culture
  • Represent Mars with external agencies (e.g. legal counsel, etc.) regarding Associate Relations topics




1. Education & Professional Qualification

  • Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in in Labor/Industrial Relations, Legal and HRBP
  • Preferred qualification: Master degree; Combination of education and experience preferred



2. Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience working in a labor relations environment and providing labor relations expertise
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with all levels of associates, including senior management, to influence desired outcomes
  • In-depth knowledge on applicable China employment and labor relations regulations (i.e. PRC Labor Contract Law, PRC Employment Promotion Law, Labor Union Law, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skill
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
  • Exceptional conflict management skills
