JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW

 Guest Experience Associates, with an unforgettable personality, a forever smile, and a passion to serve our guests are the focal point to building our brand and providing best in class customer service to our guests. This role is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for our Guests whether in a character, character buddy, cashier, selling, or merchandising position. We welcome unique personality, just as our M&M brand is founded on our unique characters! This role is unique as it is one of the few that interacts directly with our customers daily. 
 

M&M’s BRAND AMBASSADOR and PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:

  • Become knowledgeable of the M&M’s Brand and the store products designed to delight our guests.
  • Display a “Guest comes first” attitude by prioritizing Guest Experience.
  • Acts as a positive role model for others by demonstrating passion and enthusiasm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER FOCUS:

  • Display the Guest Experience standards daily and consistently to provide exceptional guest service and enthusiastically create an unforgettable experience through personal interactions with our guests.
  • Balances serving multiple Guests and completing multiple tasks
  • Proactively recovers shop floor by restocking, folding, sizing and detailing standards to protect the stores appearance

RESPONSIBILITY FOR BUSINESS RESULTS:

  • Contributes to and is knowledgeable of store Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

FRIENDSHIP and COLLABORATION:

  • Build friendships based on collaboration, trust, dignity and respect to create a great place to work that is reflected by the exceptional guest service.  Work together to create continuous improvement for one another, and for the entire store. 
  • Supportive of management decisions by preventing triangulation and encouraging direct conversations.  

PUNCTUALITY & INTEGRITY:

  • Compliance to all company policies and procedures including safety, food handling, Loss Prevention and Emergency procedures
  •  Exemplify The Five Principles of Mars and Associate Concept
  • Help support the onboarding/training of new associates
  • You’re able to work shifts that meet the needs of the business; flexible and/or consistent scheduling may be available.

INITIATIVE and JUDGEMENT:

  • Participate and/or initiate special duties and projects to enhance operational efficiency and improve the guests’ experience.
  • Ability to develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provide by the company

CONTEXT AND SCOPE

 

Guest experience associates are customer facing roles that require positivity, product knowledge and determination to create an unforgettable experience for customers. This role will be required to be trained and work in all areas of the selling floor. This associate must be excited to SMILE and work in a fun, fast paced environment to make every interaction a positive unforgettable experience for our guests while driving business metrics.

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU PERFECT FOR THIS POSITION?  

 

  • You must have the ability to work evenings, weekends, AND holidays
  • You must be able to effectively communicate and interact with customers at a high volume store with a diverse customer base
  • You must have the ability to move swiftly throughout crowded store
  • You must have the ability to reach, carry, and lift lightweight candy and merchandise onto shelves
  • You do not need prior retail experience, however you must exhibit ambition to learn and grow
  • You must demonstrate  punctuality, integrity and personal responsibility
  • You must have a love for chocolate and having fun!
