eCommerce Senior Product Manager - Direct to Consumer, Petcare

Our Senior Product Manager leads the Direct to Consumer (D2C) product portfolio across multiple Petcare business segments in the US/Europe.   You’ll work with General Managers and business leaders to influence new business concepts, direct the build out of a cutting-edge acceleration framework, and lead the organization in implementing the solution.   You will own the core eCommerce platform and will incorporate all commerce tools, ranging from MarTech to analytics and integrations, to provide a high-quality consumer experience with a frictionless consumer journey to conversion.  You will be responsible for driving organizational change to ensure the best teams are put in place to launch successful D2C initiatives.

 

You will partner across multiple Petcare brands in the US/Europe to identify opportunities to drive growth through the D2C sector they are responsible for building and maintaining.  You will be building and forming relationships across product networks and influencing leaders across the organization to ensure the right organizations and business models are in place for rapidly growing D2C initiatives across multiple businesses and markets.

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred devising and executing end-to-end customer-centric ecommerce platform strategies for a CPG organization, working from a client or consultancy perspective focused on B2B or D2C programs that incorporate technology, data and CPG experience
  • Hands-on experience building D2C businesses on platforms such as Demandware, Commerce Tools, Shopify, Magento & Open Source.  A deep understanding of the full D2C tech stack (commerce, MarTech, AdTech, analytics, etc.) and the ability to leverage a portfolio of tools to deliver the D2C products best suited for agility and rapid business growth
  • Prior consulting experience delivering D2C initiatives across a portfolio of multiple CPG businesses
  • Strong project management skills with familiarity in a variety of tools and techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship with a wide constituency, including business leaders, IT personnel and project leaders
  • Should have a proven track record of delivering results in two or more of the following areas:
    Line Management, Project Delivery, Program Management, Senior Management exposure
  • Experience building agency-level PowerPoint decks is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred

 

What you’ll do

 

In this role you’ll perform the following activities:

 

  • Leverage industry best practices and a broad set of technology components to build out the D2C products, ensuring the maintenance of an efficient, leading-edge platform delivering measurable growth through digitization programs
  • Leading the global D2C organization responsible for formulating our Business to Business (B2B) products at a rapid pace (12-week sprints) and scale across Mars Inc.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop, identify and define how to improve business performance through the application of technology, optimization of information flow, usage of resources, and business processes enhancement.
  • Lead the development of D2C strategies for all businesses by considering and anticipating rapidly shifting landscapes, new nimble players and emerging digital giants
  • Partnering with global digital demand teams to leverage data, analytics and technology solutions to develop and formulate D2C product offerings that deliver a high-quality customer experience and measurable sales growth
  • Leverage User Centricity best practices and partnerships to define and scope business opportunities to deliver a technology solution that will enable the business benefit
  • Understand and evaluate pressing business issues to develop a technology solution that will address the business challenge, delivering measurable benefits
  • Monitor the progression of projects through the delivery phase
