Job Purpose/Overview

The CSS is accountable for achieving the physical availability targets in the point of sales of his/her sector. This means (s)he has to achieve targets in coverage & promo sales and perfect store.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coverage: achieve coverage objectives per chain, with a minimum of 5, aligned with Field Manager
  2. Sales: Achieve agreed sales objectives (set by FM) to guarantee optimal selling out > visibility & availability (coupons, price-tags, hotspot)
  3. Perfect Store (Distribution): Implementation of the Picture of Success assortment. Achieve Perfect Store targets (compliance scores) by working on distribution, shelf positioning and high quality of secondary placement (Tubos/clipstrips/Flexi displays).
  4. Merchandising:  collaboration with merchandiser to ensure excellence in availability, visibility and quality (minimize out of stocks).                   
  5. Information:

Provide FM’s with all relevant information related to trade, brands, and competitors. Being single point      of contact of Mars for all points of sales within the sector. Provide his clients with all information on products and activities. (S)he represents Mars Belgium with high standards developing the preferred supplier image of the company.

Requirements HIPO:

- Master of Manama education
- Wants to become a generalist – wants to develop to another role in the organization within 2 years

Explanation requirements

Analytical skills: The ability to objectively solve problems through quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and information. E.g. knowledge about KPI’s (coverage, sales and perfect store), status and how to achieve them.

Advanced analytical skills requires a keen and detailed ability to acquire relevant category data and apply critical thinking and data analysis to generate leading-edge actionable insights. E.g. able to analyze graphics and trends about market data.

Learning agility: ability and willingness to learn from experiences and then apply that learning to perform successfully under new situations.
